So you might say the Back Pain Clinic Belleville is “under construction” or going through the remodeling process. At the heart of holistic healing, lies the idea that when we come together for a common goal, we  produce a combined effect greater than the sum of separate effects.  We like to think the Back Pain Clinic is giving better care with a skilled team working in a synergistic environment.

The Back Pain Clinic isn’t new to Belleville; in fact it’s been a community staple for about 30 years under the direction of Dr. Meinders.  The building – like its patients – are classics. But history shows that even classics need to be tended to in order to thrive for the next generation.  And that’s exactly where Dr. Fast is leading his team – forward for the next generation.

As you’ll notice, our office has been updated in every way.  We started with the cool, calming tones of blues and grays  on the walls and continued by opening up new rooms for easy patient accessibility.  What was once a narrow, divided space has given way to a modern retreat-like environment.

But healing can be hard work.  That’s why we’ve added two new diagnostic and therapeutic machines to help you heal faster! Our investment in the latest technology can put you at ease knowing that our skill level exceeds current industry standards. With every workshop attended or certification gained, you can expect the highest level of care and understanding.

According to a study conducted by the University of Minnesota, the healing environment: “can facilitate or discourage interactions among people (and the subsequent benefits of social support). The environment can influence people’s’ behavior and motivation to act. The environment can influence mood. For example, the results of several research studies reveal that rooms with bright light, both natural and artificial, can improve health outcomes such as depression, agitation, and sleep.”

Perhaps most importantly for health, the environment can create or reduce stress, which in turn impacts our bodies in multiple ways. This is because our brain and our nervous, endocrine, and immune systems are constantly interacting. As neuroscientist Candice Pert puts it, “What you are thinking at any moment is changing your biochemistry.”

So make your appointment or just stop by and take a look!  We’ll be proud refocus and introduce our new look at the end of June.
